Built in 1841 as a private residence, this 14 room Fauboug Treme Guest House has been hosting visitors from New Orleans for over 30 years. Located ½ block off N. Rampart Street (the edge of the French Quarter farthest from the Mississippi River), The New Orleans Guest House is just 3 ½ blocks from Bourbon Street, and another 2 blocks from all the action Bourbon Street has to offer. Within the Treme neighborhood, you will find the Backsteet Cultural Museum, the African American Museum, St. Augustine’s Catholic Church (the oldest African American Catholic Church in the country), Armstrong Park, The Mahalia Jackson Theater of Performing Arts, The Candlelight Lounge which is home to the Treme Brass Band, and Dizzy’s Café, just to list a few. A continental breakfast is served daily in our large, luscious courtyard, we have a small, pay-to-park onsite lot, and street parking in the neighborhood is free. The New Orleans Guest House is a pet friendly property.
